‘Deadstream’ Heads To Shudder In Time For Halloween

by Thomas Tuna

The internet can be a blessing…or a curse.

Deadstream–a horror flick that made a big splash at this year’s SXSW Film Festival–will land on Shudder a month from now. Check out the trailer and poster for the pic–courtesy of Reel News Daily–on this page.

The found-footage horror-comedy–slated for Shudder Oct. 6–is the feature film directorial debut for Vanessa and Joseph Winter, who also wrote the screenplay. Joseph Winter also stars in the feature, along with Melanie Stone and Jason K. Wixom.

Deadstream follows a “disgraced internet personality who tries to win back his followers by livestreaming one night alone in a haunted house,” according to the logline. But, when he accidentally angers “a vengeful spirit, his big comeback event becomes a real-life fight for his life.”

The Winters also produced the film, along with Stone and Jared Cook.
