In a press release, video game development studio Behaviour Interactive announced that the mobile version of Dead by Daylight shot past 1 million downloads in less than 48 hours. The game is a popular multiplayer 4 v 1 horror title in which a crazed killer hunts down four friends through a terrifying nightmare.
“We are incredibly thrilled to see the reaction from players all over the globe,” said Mathieu Côté, Game Director on Dead by Daylight and Product Evangelist for Behaviour Interactive. “Bringing Dead by Daylight to mobile is a great achievement for the company and doing it while maintaining the core gameplay and all the existing content is something that players are truly appreciating. We want to thank them for their unwavering support of the franchise. And to all the new players out there: Welcome to the Fog!”
Dead by Daylight was first released for PC in June 2016. The title made it to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One in June 2017 and was eventually released on Nintendo Switch in September 2019.
By introducing well-known horror characters to the game such as Leatherface, Michael Myers, Ghostface, Ash Williams and Freddy Krueger, Dead by Daylight saw a massive increase in players and fan support.
