Dead Before Dawn 3D Coming to the US

by Rob Caprilozzi

Variety is reporting that Canadien film "Dead Before Daw 3d" has picked up a U.S. distribution deal with Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment at Toronto.

Directed by April Mullen ("GravyTrain") — the first female director to shoot a feature in stereoscopic 3D — "Dead Before Dawn 3D" marks the third collaboration between Mullen and Tim Doiron's production company Wango Films. Mullen is also producing with Doiron, who wrote the script. Zom-com stars Devon Bostick, Christopher Lloyd and Martha MacIsaac. It follows the misadventures of several college kids who accidentally unleash an evil curse that causes people to kill themselves and turn into "zombie demons." "We are thrilled to be working alongside an innovative distribution company that's extremely passionate about the film and its release," Mullen said. "In the current marketplace, where independent film distribution needs to be uniquely specialized on a project-to-project basis, we believe Gaiam Vivendi will work with us to reach our audience."
