David Schwimmer Lands Lead Role in ‘Goosebumps’

It looks like David Schwimmer might make some scary friends.

Friends star David Schwimmer has landed the lead role in the second season of the Disney+ anthology series Goosebumps, according to a report on Deadline. Schwimmer is set to play the role of Anthony, a former botany professor and divorced parent of teenage twins whose world takes a tumultuous turn as he juggles the responsibilities of overseeing an aging parent while having his kids for the summer.

Joining Schwimmer on the second season are Ana Ortiz (Love, Victor), Sam McCarthy (Dead to Me) and Jayden Bartels (Side Hustle), Elijah Cooper (That Girl Lay Lay), Galilea La Salvia (Party Down), and Francesca Noel (R#J).

The official synopsis of the second season is as follows: “The new story begins with Devin and Cece, fraternal twins adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece and their friends — Alex, CJ and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994.”
