David Fincher is reuniting with screenwriter Gillian Flynn and Ben Affleck to remake Hitchcock’s ‘Strangers on a Train’. The trio worked together on last year’s box office hit ‘Gone Girl’. Fincher is planning a modern take on the story, with Affleck starring as a character similar to Farley Granger’s in the original film. The project, tentatively titled ‘Strangers’, is a perfect fit for Fincher and Flynn, who excel at dark and twisted stories. The pair are also working on ‘Utopia’, a drama for HBO.
