Dave Bautista Joins Daniel Craig in ‘Knives Out 2’

Dave Bautista, who is best known for his Marvel portrayal of Drax, is set to join Daniel Craig in the sequel to Knives Out, reports deadline.com. Netflix is reported to have closed a deal for at least $400 million for the next two films in the series. Rian Johnson is writing and directing the film while Ram Bergman will produce. Daniel Craig is reprising his role of Benoit Blanc, a detective of Hercule Poirot qualities.

Other than Craig as the detective in this film, other plot details are unknown, and Netflix has yet to comment on any aspect of it. It’s also a mystery who Bautista will be portraying. The only thing that is known at this time is that production is set to begin this summer in Greece.

Knives Out was a star-studded affair which was released in 2019.  Directed by Rian Johnson, the film starred Daniel Craig, Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Lakeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell and Christopher Plummer.  The film raked in over $311 million on a budget of just $40 million.
