Welcome to Paris!
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon–the upcoming spinoff from the AMC zombie mega-hit–this week added a quintet of actors to its growing cast as filming continues in Paris, according to a report in Variety.
Joining star Norman Reedus, Clemence Poesy and Adam Nagaitis are Anne Charrier (The Last Deadly Mission), Eriq Ebanouey (Fox Hunt), Laika Blanc Francard (My Night), Romain Levi (The Tunnel) and newcomer Louis Puech Scigliuzzi.
The series–slated for a debut on AMC sometime later this year–is led by showrunner David Zabel and executive producer Angela Kang.
In the spinoff, Dixon washes ashore in France, “and struggles to piece together how he got there and why,” according to the synopsis. Dixon treks across a “broken, but resilient, France and hopes to find his way back home. But, as he journeys, the connections he forms along the way complicate his ultimate plan.”
Reedus called his new show “way different,” adding that it has “a different tone, a different light and a different sound. It’s epic in scale–and the tone is so good and moody.”
