Phil “CM Punk” Brooks- the retired WWE professional wrestler and current UFC/CFFC mixed martial artist- has turned his attention toward a new arena: the world of screen acting. Brooks will star in Dark Sky Films’ Girl on the Third Floor, a new supernatural horror film which seems to demand all of the physicality he’s known for bringing to his other careers. The studio released an official trailer for the film which shows off Brooks’ acting chops and a few of the creepy crawlies the movie has in store for viewers:
Beginning with the classic Old Dark House formula, the trailer for Girl on the Third Floor is chock full of inspirations ranging from Evil Dead to Silent Hill. The following synopsis accompanies the new trailer for the film:
“Don Koch (Phil “CM Punk” Brooks) tries to renovate a rundown house with a sordid history for his growing family, only to learn that the house has other plans.”
Girl on the Third Floor is directed by Travis Stevens. In addition to Phil Brooks, the film also stars Trieste Kelly Dunn, Sarah Brooks, Elissa Dowling, Karen Woditsch, Travis Delgado, Marshall Bean, and Anish Jethmalani. The movie will hit theaters on October 25th, 2019.
