Deadline is reporting that the CW has green light a pilot for The Lost Boys. After passing last year on the project the network decided to rework the script and called upon Marcos Siega to direct the pilot episode. Siega has previously worked on The Vampire Diaries, True Blood, Dexter, The Following and You.
The synopsis for the series is:
When a mother and her Gen Z sons move to the seaside town where she grew up, they discover there’s a sinister reason the local cool kids sleep all day, party all night, never grow up and never get old. Family bonds are tested as the brothers find themselves on opposite sides of a mythological struggle.
Rob Thomas and Dan Etheridge of Spondoolie Productions are executive producing the project which is based on the 1987 horror classic of the same name.
