Creepy Trailer Unveiled For ‘Gale–Stay Away From Oz’

She’s definitely not in Kansas anymore.

Taking L. Frank Baum’s 1900 classic The Wonderful Wizard of Oz down a decidedly darker brick road, writer/director Daniel Alexander has conjured up Gale–Stay Away From Oz. Check out the nightmarish trailer on this page.

In this film–which does not yet have a release window–Dorothy Gale has apparently suffered much since Judy Garland portrayed her so perfectly in the iconic 1939 film. She is now an elderly woman, “broken by years of paranormal entanglement with a mystical realm,” according to the synopsis.

All of this has now “echoed down to her only living relative–her granddaughter Emily–who is being called to settle unfinished business in the terrifying world of Oz.”

The feature stars Chloe Crump as Emily and Karen Swan as Dorothy–along with Denny Hodge, Tenisha White and Stacey Devonport.
