Courteney Cox Stars In New Horror-Comedy ‘Shining Vale’

Apparently, there is life after Scream.

Courteney Cox–one of the returning legacy stars in this year’s Scream–will headline a new Starz horror-comedy series, Shining Vale, which will debut with two episodes March 6, according to a report on Deadline. Check out the show’s trailer on this page.

The series–from Jeff Astrof (Trial & Error ) and Sharon Horgan (Divorce)–follows Pat and Terry Phelps (Cox and Greg Kinnear), who move to Shining Vale, Conn.–along with their two children–in an attempt to re-start after Pat has an affair.

Just one catch: It seems that their new house is the sight of past multiple murders, and Pat sees the ghost of the murderer–a 1950s housewife named Rosemary (Mira Sorvino), who no one else can see.

Also, Rosemary “may or may not be trying to take over Pat’s body,” according to the official synopsis. “Everyone has their demons, but for Pat Phelps, they may be real.”

Shining Vale–produced by Lionsgate and Warner Bros. Television– also features Gus Birney, Merrin Dungey, Dylan Gage, Judith Light and Sherilyn Fenn.
