The Demon of Vengeance is ready for your display case.
An eerily realistic statue of the disturbing creature from the 1988 cult classic Pumpkinhead–from Sideshow Collectibles and Premium Collectible Studio–is now available for pre-order, as reported by screenrant.com. Check out the photos on this page to get an idea of the statue’s monstrous appeal.
The Pumpkinhead 1/4-scale statue–which stands 27 inches tall and 19 inches wide on a graveyard base–comes in a standard edition and an exclusive edition (which includes an alternate humanoid portrait that reflects the creature’s evolution in the film’s finale).
Priced at $1,250 for either version, the Pumpkinhead statue is scheduled for release between June and August 2022.
The statue, as explained, recreates the iconic monster “from its terrifying face to the talons on its feet. Painted with pale orange and purple hues, it takes on an undying, unearthly appearance with large claws and whip-like tail.”
The original Pumpkinhead film–from first-time director and special effects wizard Stan Winston and screenwriters Mark Patrick Carducci and Gary Gerani–stars Lance Henrikson, John D’Aquino, Jeff East and Kerry Remsen. The story follows a distraught father who conjures up a towering, vengeful demon called Pumpkinhead to destroy the teenagers responsible for the death of his son.
The film barely broke even at the box office–earning just $4.4 million on a $3.5-million budget–but it acquired a strong cult following in the intervening years. The original also gave birth to a direct-to-video sequel, two made-for-TV sequels and comic book adaptations from Dark Horse Comics and Dynamite Entertainment.
