“Peter has an overactive imagination.”

Cobweb–a new Lionsgate horror feature–lands in theaters later this month, and a disturbing clip dropped this week. Check out the video–courtesy of Collider–on this page.

The film–recently rated R for “horror violence and language”–is directed by Samuel Bodin from a screenplay by Chris Thomas Devlin. Cobweb hits the big screen July 21.

The movie follows eight-year-old Peter (Woody Norman) who’s plagued by “a mysterious, constant tap from inside his bedroom wall–a tapping his parents insist is in his imagination.” But, are his mom and dad (Lizzy Caplan and Antony Starr) hiding “a terrible, dangerous secret?”

Also starring Cleopatra Coleman, the film is produced by Roy Lee, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, Jon Berg and James Weaver.
