Getting into the spirit of things.

Supernatural horror pic Talk To Me will premiere at the Sundance Film Festival this weekend, and Deadline dropped the first clip from the film.

The feature–directed by twin brothers Danny and Michael Philippou from a screenplay by Danny and Bill Hinzman–is described as a “foreboding and nightmarish” experience. Kristina Ceyton and Samantha Jennings of Causeway Films (The Babadook) produced the movie.

In Talk To Me, conjuring spirits has become the latest party craze (really?), and teenager Mia, “looking for a distraction on the anniversary of her mother’s death, wants to get a piece of the otherworldly action,” according to the synopsis.

While her friends gather for a seance “with the mysterious, embalmed hand that promises a direct line to the spirits, they are unprepared for the consequences of bending the rules through prolonged contact.”

And, “as the boundary between worlds collapses and disturbing supernatural visions increasingly haunt  Mia, she rushes to undo the horrific damage before it’s irreversible.”

Talk To Me stars Sophia Wilde (The Portable Door), Joe Bird (Rabbit), Alexandra Jensen (Frayed), Otis Dhanji (Aquaman) and Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings franchise).
