Claire Foy To Star In ‘Dust’

Deadline is reporting that Claire Foy has signed on to play the lead role in the upcoming horror flick Dust.

The British actress will play a young mother in 1930s Oklahoma who is haunted by her past and trapped in horrifying dust storms. She becomes convinced that her family is threatened by a mysterious presence and takes extraordinary measures to protect them.

Producer Alix Madigan (Winter’s Bone) is producing with Lucas Joaquin (Love Is Strange). Will Joines will team up with Karrie Crouse to direct the script by Westworld scribe Krouse.

In addition to the lead role in The Crown, Foy also appeared in Being Human, Season of the Witch, Vampire Academy and Unsane.

The actress is no stranger to her share of awards. In 2017 she acquired a Golden Globes Award for Best Actress – Television Series Drama and a Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series. The following year she received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series and another Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance by a Female Actor in a Drama Series
