‘Cinderella’s Revenge’ Puts Bloody Twist On Fairy Tale

Looks like the other shoe (er, glass slipper) has dropped.

In case you were wondering which classic and innocent children’s story would take a bend toward the macabre, here it is: Cinderella’s Revenge. Believe it or not, production is underway right now in England, according to a report on Deadline.

The Sobini Films feature–directed by Andy Edwards (Zombie Spring Breakers)–follows the wicked stepsisters and stepmother of Cinderella (Lauren Staerck) as they “push her too far and she swaps her glass slippers as she pursues blood-soaked vengeance with the help of her fairy godmother (Natasha Henstridge),” according to the logline.

The film–produced by Mark Lester, Cami Winikoff and Jessica Mathis–also stars Stephanie Lodge, Beatrice Fletcher, Megan Purvis and Darrell Griggs.
