Somebody cue the killer doll!
Chucky–the hit series that debuted last year on USA and Syfy–this week officially started production on Season 2, according to a report on The Wrap, with several cast members being confirmed for the upcoming season.
Fans will happy to learn that the regulars from Season 1 are back on board for another wild ride. Those cast members include Brad Dourif (the unmistakable voice of Chucky), Jennifer Tilly as Tiffany Valentine, Fiona Dourif as Nica Pierce, Zackary Arthur as Jack Wheeler, Bjorgvin Arnarson as Devon Evans, Alyvia Alyn Lind as Lexy Cross, Alex Vincent as Andy Barclay, Christine Elise as Kyle and Barbara Alyn Woods as Mayor Michelle Cross.
Series creator Don Mancini said he is “thrilled” to be starting the second season of Chucky. “And, to the fans,” he added, “Chucky sends his thanks and a message: ‘This isn’t over. Not by a long shot’.”
Chucky–slated to kick off Season 2 sometime this fall–is, of course, a spinoff of the Child’s Play film franchise. The show’s first season began when a vintage Chucky doll was found at a garage sale, an event that kicked off a series of horrifying murders that begin to expose “the town’s hypocrisies and secrets.”
The original 1988 Child’s Play–directed by Tom Holland from a screenplay he wrote with Mancini and John Lafia–gave birth to six sequels, a 2019 reboot, comic books, video games and more collectibles than you can shake a bloody knife at.
