Eat to live…and live to eat.
Oscar, Emmy and Grammy Award winner Cher–along with Chaz Bono–will team up as executive producers on the new horror pic Little Bites, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The film–slated to start shooting later this month in Los Angeles–is written and directed by Michael Cummings–aka Spider One–(Bury the Bride).
The cast is led by Krsy Fox (Allegoria), and features horror standouts Barbara Crampton (Jakob’s Wife), Heather Langenkamp (A Nightmare on Elm Street) and Bonnie Aarons (The Conjuring franchise)–as well as Elizabeth Caro, Jon Sklaroff, Lyndsi LaRose, Mark Kelly and Bono.
In the film, young widow and mother Mindy (Fox) tries to protect her daughter Alice (Caro) from a flesh-eating monster named Agyar (Sklaroff) by “sacrificing her own life by allowing the creature to feed on her body as she keep Alice hidden away at her grandmother’s house,” according to the synopsis.
Fox said the movie “serves as a dark metaphor for parenthood and protecting your children at all costs. The stakes are high–and the outcome is terrifying and gruesome. Mindy is a hero in the way that any loving parent is. She does whatever it takes to protect her child.”
