Some serious animated mayhem is coming this Halloween.

Chainsaw Man–a highly anticipated anime series from MAPPA–will hit Crunchyroll this October. Check out the show’s graphic, action-packed trailer on this page.

The series–based on an original manga written and illustrated by Tatsuki Fujimoto–follows a teenager named Denji who is “living with a Chainsaw Devil called Pochita to pay off a debt his father left behind,” according to the synopsis.

Denji lives “a rock-bottom existence while repaying his debt by harvesting corpses with Pochita until the day comes when Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he enters into a contract with Pochita and is reborn as Chainsaw Man–a man with a devil’s heart.”

The series–directed by Ryu Nakayama and written by Hiroshi Seko with character design by Kazutaka Sugiyama–has a voice cast that includes Kikunosuke Toya as Denji, Tomori Kusonoki as Makima, Shogo Sakata as Aki Hayakawa and Fairouz Ai as Power.
