by Rob Caprilozzi

CBS has announced the renewal of all five of their Fall first-year series including the horror program Evil.

Created by Robert and Michelle King the series premiered on September 26, 2019. The series stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter and Aasif Mandvi. Evil is a tale about a skeptical female clinical psychologist joins a priest-in-training and a blue-collar contractor as they investigate supposed miracles, demonic possession, and other extraordinary occurrences to see if there’s a scientific explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work.

“These terrific new series have attracted a passionate base of viewers and consistent ratings while delivering entertaining, inclusive and relevant storytelling every week,” said Kelly Kahl, CBS’ entertainment president, in a statement. “They’re off to strong starts and are still being discovered on the many catch-up and playback options available to our viewers today. We’re proud of this freshman class and excited about their potential to tell more great stories and further expand their audiences.”
