Things are happening quickly for the Netflix adaptation of October Faction. Deadline is reporting that Tamara Taylor and J.C. MacKenzie have landed the lead roles on the series. Taylor who is known for her work on Party of Five, Bones, and Altered Carbon, will play the matriarch of the family, Deloris Allan. MacKenzie steps into the role of Frederick Allan, husband to Deloris and leader of the monster-hunting family.
The series, which is created by Damian Kindler (Sleepy Hollow), is set to run 10-episodes and is produced by High Park Entertainment in association with IDW Entertainment. Netflix’s tagline for the series is “Follow the adventures of a retired monster-hunter and his family, which includes a thrill-killer, a witch and a warlock. Based on Steve Niles’s comic.”
Other casting announcements for the series include Gabriel Darku, Aurora Burghart, Wendy Crewson, Megan Follows, and Stephen McHattie.
