Resident Evil continues to be one of the hottest horror properties around, and this week fans got a look at the actors who will play their favorite video game characters on Netflix.
The Netflix live-action, eight-episode series–currently in production–will follow the villainous Albert Wesker and his children, and will center around Raccoon City, as reported by comicbook.com. A debut date for Resident Evil has not yet been revealed, but a late 2021 or early 2022 premiere seems likely.
As seen in the tweet and photos on this page, Lance Reddick will portray Wesker, and will be joined by Ella Balinska, Tamara Smart, Siena Agudong, Adeline Rudolph and Paola Nunez in unannounced roles.

Andrew Dabb (Supernatural) will write the scripts and act as showrunner, with Bronwen Hughes (The Walking Dead) directing the first two episodes of the series.
Dabb–who called Resident Evil his “favorite game of all time”–said this series “will be complete with a lot of old friends and some things–bloodthirsty, insane things–people have never seen before.”
The Resident Evil video game franchise–launched by Capcom back in 1996–has sold more than 100 million games worldwide. In addition, the six feature films based on the games have grossed more than $1.2 billion globally.
