Cast Grows For Shyamalan’s ‘Knock At The Cabin’

No surprise: Genre standouts are lining up for M. Night Shyamalan.

The celebrated filmmaker this week signed up Rupert Grint and Nikki Amuka-Bird for his next thriller, Knock at the Cabin, according to Deadline. As always with Shyamalan, no details on the storyline have been forthcoming.

The Universal Pictures entry–written, directed and produced by Shyamalan–is expected to hit theaters in a little less than a year–Feb. 3, 2023. Ashwin Rajan, Marc Bienstock and Steven Schneider are also on board as producers.

Shyamalan’s last horror film–Old–earned more than $90 million worldwide last summer, and was the sixth of his movies to debut at the top of the box office charts.

Both Grint and Amuka-Bird–who join the previously announced Dave Bautista in the upcoming film’s cast–have connections to the writer/director.

Grint is co-starring on the hit Apple+ TV series Servant–which kicked off its third season last month with Shyamalan as showrunner. He also is in the cast of Guillermo del Toro’s upcoming Netflix anthology series Cabinet of Curiosities.

Amuka-Bird–who appeared in last year’s Old–is a BAFTA Award nominee for her role in the BBC One drama NW, and currently stars in HBO’s Avenue 5.
