Cast Changes Revealed For New Horror Feature ‘Svalta’

by Thomas Tuna

This doesn’t sound like Fantasy Island.

Svalta–a new horror pic from XYZ Films–is now in post-production, following filming in Finland, with a new lead actor, according to a report on Deadline.

Lena Headey (Game of Thrones) this week was replaced by Aisling Bea (This Way Up) in the feature from writer and star Nick Frost (Shaun of the Dead). The film–directed by Steffan Haars–also stars Sebastian Croft and Maisie Ayres.

In the movie, a family goes to a remote island called Svalta for their summer vacation, but they soon learn that a serial killer is loose in the area. Perhaps even worse, the locals have no interest in helping the stranded family.

Svalta is produced by Lee Kim, John Hegeman, Nick Spicer and Aram Tertzakian, along with Frost.
