Even for Rob Zombie, this is a left turn into the bizarre.
With Pat Priest appearing in Zombie’s feature film remake of The Munsters ’60s TV show (but most likely not as ugly-duckling niece Marilyn), fans wondered if Butch Patrick’s Eddie Munster would show up. Well, he is…and he isn’t.
Zombie this week announced through his Instagram account–check out the post on this page (courtesy of JoBlo.com)–that Patrick will be in his film, but as yet another obscure character from the TV series–the Tin Can Man. In case you missed the early episode this contraption appeared in, it was a science-class project robot concocted by Grandpa for Eddie to bring to school. You can guess the rest.

So, Patrick–presumably encased in some sort of metallic construct–will join the rest of Zombie’s cast, led by Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily and Daniel Roebuck as Grandpa.
The PG-rated reboot is expected (but not confirmed) to hit theaters and perhaps Peacock (or will it be Netflix?) sometime this fall. Stay tuned.
