Burn, baby, burn.
Hiya Toys is rolling out a new Burning Godzilla figure–based on 2019’s Godzilla: King of the Monsters–later this year. Check out photos of the collectible–courtesy of Toyark–on this page.
This fully articulated figure stands seven inches tall, and sports a paint deco inspired by Godzilla’s final battle with King Ghidorah in the Legendary Pictures MonsterVerse flick. Priced in the neighborhood of $50, the figure will release sometime in the fourth quarter of this year.
In addition to the “burning” features, the figure sports accurate details that capture Godzilla’s on-screen appearance and an articulated tail for posing or to recreate scenes from the film.
Godzilla: King of the Monsters–from writer/director Michael Dougherty–is the 35th entry in the Godzilla franchise and serves as the sequel to 2014’s Godzilla.
Starring Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, Millie Bobby Brown and Bradley Whitford, the film deals with King Ghidorah, who awakens other Titans across the world, forcing Godzilla and Mothra to engage them in a decisive battle.
Met with mixed reviews (but praise for its visual effects and action sequences), the movie earned $386 million worldwide on a budget of $170 million.
