They will rise…wait and see.

Evil Dead mainstay Bruce Campbell won’t star in the next installment of the classic horror franchise–Evil Dead Rise–but he is one of the producers, and as such, he definitely is in the thick of things.

Check out Campbell’s recent tweet on this page in which he posts a teaser clip for the new film. And check back here tomorrow for the full trailer.

Evil Dead Rise–from writer/director Lee Cronin–is slated for an April 21 theatrical release. And Cronin has promised this entry will be “fueled by blood. You can either get off–or stay on ’till it explodes.”

The film follows Beth (Lily Sullivan) as she visits her older sister Ellie (Alyssa Sutherland) in Los Angeles. But things go south quickly when the sisters discover “a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building,” according to the synopsis.

This discovery leads them to a confrontation with scores of “flesh-possessing demons”–and tosses Beth into a battle for survival, “as she’s faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”

The rest of the cast includes Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, Mia Challis and Tai Wano.
