OK, everybody say cheese!
Evil Dead Rise–the next installment in the classic horror franchise–rips its way into theaters next spring, and now producer (and Evil Dead staple) Bruce Campbell has dropped a photo of the “family” fans can expect to see in the film. Check out Campbell’s tweet on this page.
For the Deadites who weren’t able to make it to BruceFest this year, I’m very excited to share this shot of the family from Evil Dead Rise. See them come together or be torn apart only in theaters April 21. #EvilDeadRise @EvilDead pic.twitter.com/VvnECjH164

The horror pic–slated for an April 21, 2023 release–comes from writer/director Lee Cronin, and follows Beth as she pays a visit to her older sister Ellie in Los Angeles. But things take a turn for the bizarre when they discover “a mysterious book deep in the bowels of Ellie’s building,” according to the synopsis.
This discovery leads to a horde of “flesh-possessing demons,” and thrusts Beth into “a primal battle for survival–as she is faced with the most nightmarish version of motherhood imaginable.”
The film stars Alyssa Sutherland as Ellie and Lily Sullivan as Beth–along with Gabrielle Echols, Morgan Davies, Nell Fisher, Mia Challis and Tai Wano.
Campbell said he’s “very excited” about this new film. “It’s dark,” he added. “It’s a very adult Evil Dead movie. It’s pretty tough and hard-hitting. It’s going to creep you out.”
