They hunt witches, don’t they?

Heretic–described as a folk horror film–has just wrapped shooting on the southwest coast of England, on Cornwall’s expansive Bodmin Moor, according to a report on Deadline. Check out the first-look image on this page.

The film–the debut feature from filmmaker Dean Puckett–stars Emma Appleton (The Witcher), as well as Jodhi May, Lewis Gribben, Barney Harris, Oliver Maltman, James Swanton and Toby Stephens. Producers include Rebecca Wolff and Jude Goldrei.

In the feature, “when Magpie’s husband dies under mysterious circumstances, a brutal witch hunt threatens to tear apart an isolated religious community,” according to the brief logline.
