The new feature–slated for an October 2024 theatrical release–is directed by Kelly Marcel from a screenplay she wrote with star Tom Hardy. The rest of the cast includes Chiwetel Ejiofor and Juno Temple.
Plot details have not yet been revealed, but it’s believed this will be the final chapter in the franchise–or at least the last film with Hardy playing the dual roles of Brock and Venom.
The second film in the series–Venom: Let There Be Carnage–follows Brock’s battle with serial killer Cletus Kasady (Woody Harrelson) after he becomes the host of the symbiote Carnage. The film made a killing at the box office, raking in $500 million globally on a $110-million budget.
