Blumhouse’s ‘Imaginary’ Drops Second Frightening Trailer

by Thomas Tuna

He’s not imaginary…and he’s not your friend.

Imaginary–another horror entry from Blumhouse and Lionsgate–hits the big screen in a month now, and a second trailer has arrived to preview the un”bear”able terrors. Check out the video on this page.

The pic–landing in theaters March 8–is helmed by Jeff Wadlow from a screenplay he wrote with Greg Erb, Jason Oremland and Bryce McGuire. Wadlow also served as producer, alongside Jason Blum.

Imaginary–starring DeWanda Wise, Tom Payne, Betty Buckley, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Matthew Sato and Veronica Falcon–follows Jessica (Wise) as she moves back into her childhood home with stepdaughter Alice (Braun), who develops a strange attachment to a stuffed toy bear named Chauncey.

Before long, though, the games Alice plays with Chauncey become sinister, and the girl’s behavior becomes a cause for concern. Then, when Jessica intervenes, she realizes that her daughter’s playmate is “much more than the stuffed toy bear she thought it was.”
