Don’t book Art for your next birthday party.
Terrifier 2–the sequel to the 2016 cult horror hit–will slash its way into theaters this Halloween season, and a graphic trailer dropped this week to get fans in the mood. Check out of the video–courtesy of Collider–on this page.
The sequel–from writer, director and producer Damien Leone–will release Oct. 6 and bring back David Howard Thornton as the maniacal Art the Clown and Samantha Scaffidi as Victoria Heyes. Joining them in the cast are Lauren LaVera, Sarah Voigt, Kailey Hyman, Casey Hartnett, Elliot Fullam and Felissa Rose.
The story follows “Art’s resurrection and pursuit of Sienna Shaw (LaVera) and her younger brother Jonathan (Fullam) on Halloween night–a year after mutilating sole survivor Victoria (Scaffidi) and committing suicide when confronted by police,” according to the synopsis. You just can’t keep a good bloodthirsty clown down.
Leone said the film’s cast and crew–and the fan base–“have always believed in the franchise. After all, our goal was to create a horror film that was boundary-pushing, fresh and yet old-school–and demented as hell.”
