Ben Wheatley is keeping his head above water while swimming with the sharks.

Wheatley–the filmmaker behind the upcoming underwater horror sequel Meg 2The Trench–has signed on as the executive producer on a British genre film, according to a report on Deadline.

The Unraveling–being developed by the British Film Institute–reunites the creative team behind the BAFTA-nominated 2016 horror flick The Ghoul. Gareth Tunley is writing and directing the new film, which will star Tom Meeten, who will also act as an executive producer. Richard Holmes (The Ritual) will produce the feature.

The film follows Michael (Meeten) “as he experiences increasing hostility from the world around him–including his family, friends and colleagues,” according to the synopsis. “Soon–inexplicably and terrifyingly–everyone in the world is trying to kill him.”

Tunley describes the project as a “domestic psychological drama that turns into a subversive reimagining of a chase movie. The story–and its world-gone-mad theme–has become more and more relevant.”
