The feature–set to hit the big screen Sept. 6, 2024–is helmed by Burton from a screenplay by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar (based on a story by Seth Grahame-Smith). The cast includes Michael Keaton (reprising his title role), Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega, Willem Dafoe, Catherine O’Hara, Justin Theroux and Monica Bellucci.

The original Beetlejuice–directed by Burton from a screenplay by Michael McDowell, Larry Wilson and Warren Skaaren–follows Adam and Barbara Maitland, a married couple who pass away and then haunt their Connecticut home.

And then, when Charles and Delia Deetz–along with daughter Lydia–move into the house, the Maitlands fire a “freelance bio-exorcist” named Beetlejuice to scare away the newcomers.
