Beetlejuice 2–the spooky sequel to the 1988 horror-comedy–is eyeing a shooting start in London next month, and a new cast member has signed on for the ride, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Monica Bellucci (Bram Stoker’s Dracula) joins Michael Keaton (reprising his titular role), Winona Ryder, Jenna Ortega and Justin Theroux in the cast. The film–slated for a Sept. 6, 2024 theatrical release–is directed by Tim Burton from a screenplay by Mike Vukadinovich.
The original Beetlejuice–helmed by Burton from a screenplay by Michael McDowell, Larry Wilson and Warren Skaaren–follows Adam and Barbara Maitland, a married couple who pass away and decide to haunt their Connecticut home.
