Time to polish up those haunting skills.

Beetlejuice 2–the sequel to the classic 1988 horror-comedy–is expected to start shooting in London next month, with an eye toward a Sept. 6, 2024 theatrical release, according to a report on Deadline.

In addition, the cast this week grew by one, as Justin Theroux (American Psycho) signed on to join star Michael Keaton, Winona Ryder and Jenna Ortega. Tim Burton will return in the director’s chair, with Mike Vukadinovich writing the screenplay and Danny Elfman providing the eerie score.

The original Beetlejuice–directed by Burton from a screenplay by Michael McDowell, Larry Wilson and Warren Skaaren–follows Adam and Barbara Maitland, a married couple who pass away and decide to haunt their Connecticut home.

And, when Charles and Delia Deetz–and daughter Lydia–move in, the Maitlands hire a “freelance bio-exorcist” named Beetlejuice to scare away the newcomers.
