A friend in need…
Xeno–a new horror-science fiction thriller–is preparing to start production May 8 in Albuquerque with its three leads now in place, according to a report on Deadline.
Lulu Wilson (the Becky franchise), Omari Hardwick (Power) and Trae Romano (Stargirl) will star in the feature from writer/director Matthew Loren Oates. No release window has been announced.
In the film, a teenage girl “befriends a terrifying alien that crash-lands in the desert near her home,” according to the synopsis. As government agents investigate, the girl protects her companion “while also dealing with her depressed mother and her mother’s abusive boyfriend.”
The Henson Company is on board to construct the alien creature–with Oates, Kevin Hart, Bryan Smiley, Luke Kelly-Clyne and Shana Marie producing the film.
