For the most part, when a film crosses the $1 Million mark at a theater there usually isn’t much fanfare. But we now live in 2020, where everything is far from normal.

Quiver Distribution and Redbox Entertainment have announced that their horror flick, Becky has crossed the $1 Million mark in box office revenue this week, according to a press release from the company.

The film, which stars Kevin James and Lulu Wilson opened in 50 theaters and drive-ins throughout the country and on Digital and On Demand on June 5, 2020.

The plot follows a spunky and rebellious Becky (Wilson) is brought to a weekend getaway at a lake house by her father in an effort to try to reconnect. The trip immediately takes a turn for the worse when a group of convicts on the run, led by the merciless Dominick (James), suddenly invade the lake house.

“We are living in strange times when we celebrate a film grossing $1 million at the U.S. Box Office” said Berry Meyerowitz & Jeff Sackman, Co-Presidents of Quiver Distribution. “Given the current marketplace, the combination of an immensely entertaining film with amazing actors, coupled with our distribution capability, allows us to feel very proud of this achievement.”
