I’m thrilled to announce I scored #TheLastVoyageOfTheDemeter, collaborating with visionary director André Øvredal.
Thanks @amblin and @UniversalPics for giving me the chance to write a cinematic theme for #Dracula. (A dream come true for any composer!)

The Universal/Dreamworks film–based on a single chapter (The Captain’s Log) of Bram Stoker’s Dracula–is directed by Andre Ovredal from a screenplay by Bragi Schut, Stefan Ruzowitsky and Zak Olkewicz. The feature will land in theaters Aug. 11.
Aboard the doomed merchant ship Demeter–chartered to carry 50 unmarked wooden crates from Carpathia to London–“strange events befall the crew, as they’re stalked by a merciless presence every night,” according to the synopsis.
When the vessel arrives off the shores of England, it is “a charred, derelict wreck. And there’s no trace of the crew.”
The cast includes Corey Hawkins as Dr. Clemens, Aisling Franciosi as a stowaway, Liam Cunningham as the ship’s captain, David Dastmalchian as the ship’s first mate and Javier Botet as Dracula.. Also featured are Jo Jo Briones, Stefan Kapicic and Nikolai Nikolaeff.
