The horrors are coming at them from above and below.
Scurry–a new horror feature being shopped by Film Mode Entertainment at Cannes this week–has landed Barry Pepper as its lead, according to a report in Variety.
Pepper–known to genre fans for his roles in The Green Mile and Maze Runner–will star in the film that sees two injured strangers–a family man and a criminal–“trapped underground while the city above is attacked by a monstrous threat,” according to the logline.
Bleeding–and with no resources–their only hope is “to make it out of a treacherous tunnel before time runs out.”Scurry–directed by Luke Sparke (Occupation)–is produced by Carmel Imrie, Carly Sparke, Zac Garred and Alex Becconsall, with Sparke, Clay Epstein and Geoff Imrie serving as executive producers.
The producers said in a statement that “it is fantastic to step into the horror genre with Scurry. This elevated horror film is sure to terrify and have audiences on the edge of their seats.”
