‘Barbarian’ Trailer Shows That Some Horrors Start At Home

The housing situation is getting worse every day.

Barbarian–a new horror thriller from 20th Century Studios and New Regency–lands in theaters Aug. 31, and a terrifying trailer dropped this week to give fans a headstart on the horrors to come. Check out the video and poster–courtesy of firstshowing.net–on this page.

Barbarian–written and directed by Zach Cregger and produced by Roy Lee (The Ring and The Grudge)–follows a young woman (Georgina Campbell), who travels to Detroit for a job interview, but when she arrives, she finds the house is double-booked, according to the synopsis.

As it turns out, “a strange man (Bill Skarsgard) is already staying there, but, against her better judgment, she decides to spend the evening. She soon discovers that there’s a lot more to fear than just an unexpected house guest.”

The movie also stars Justin Long (Jeepers Creepers), Matthew Patrick Davis (Dwight in Shining Armor), Richard Brake (The Munsters), Kurt Braunohler (The Big Sick) and Jaymes Butler (Spides).
