‘Barbarian’ Receives Digital Release Before Halloween

by Thomas Tuna

Now the horrors can really hit home.

Following up on a successful theatrical launch early last month, Barbarian gets a digital release Oct. 25, complete with some extra goodies, according to a report on comingsoon.net.

The 20th Century Studios and New Regency horror pic will be bundled with a featurette, Behind Barbarian, that spotlights the cast and crew discussing the film and the inspiration behind the story. Other bonus features include a list of deleted scenes–Bonnie, Doug Extended, Tess Calls Marcus and The Rat.

Barbarian–from writer/director Zach Cregger–follows Tess (Georgina Campbell), who travels to Detroit for a job interview but, when she arrives, the house she rented is double-booked, according to the synopsis.

And then things get even worse, as “a strange man, Keith (Bill Skarsgard) is staying there and, against her better judgment, Tess decides to spend the evening. She soon discovers there’s a lot more to fear than just an unexpected house guest.”

Barbarian–produced by Roy Lee (The Grudge)–also stars Justin Long, Matthew Patrick Davis, Richard Brake, Kurt Braunohler and Jaymes Burler.
