This return is getting some green thrown its way.

Return to Silent Hill–the sequel to the 2006 film based on the Konami survival horror game–will be backed by Ashland Hill Media Finance, according to a report on Deadline.

The feature–from returning director Christophe Gans, working from a screenplay he wrote with Sandra Vo-Ahn and Will Schneider–is expected to start shooting very soon with a cast now being assembled. Producers include Victor Hadida and Molly Hassell.

The sequel, Gans explained, will draw from Silent Hill 2–one of the most popular storylines in the video game series. Described as a “psychological horror story,” the film reportedly will chronicle the story of James Sunderland’s search for his wife Mary in the foggy town of Silent Hill.
