‘As We Know It’ Takes Different Look At A Zombie Apocalypse

What were you doing during the end days?

As We Know It–a horror-comedy set during yet another nuclear zombie apocalypse–is expected to wrap shooting in Los Angeles later this month, according to Variety.

The film–directed by Josh Monkarsh from a screenplay he wrote with Christopher Francis and Brandon DePaolo–stars Pam Grier (Jackie Brown), Chris Parnell (30 Rock) and Oliver Cooper (Mindhunter).

The Traffic City Productions entry–set in Los Angeles in the late 1990s–follows struggling writer James Bishop, “who is dealing with a messy breakup with the help of his best friend while trying to finish his latest book before the impending apocalypse.” Talk about writer’s block.

The rest of the cast includes Mike Castle (Brews Brothers), Taylor Blackwell (Designated Survivor) and newcomer Danny Mondello.

Monkarsh, Daniel Cummings, Josh Fruehling and K. Asher Levin are producing the film.
