At CT HorrorFest 2023, the cast of Terrifier 2 sat down with HNN staff writer Sean McLaughlin in front of a packed house at the XL Center in Hartford, CT. Writer/Director/FX Damien Leone, Lauren LaVera (Sienna), Elliott Fullam (Jonathan), and Art the Clown himself David Howard Thornton discussed their experiences on the set of the film, what it’s like to be a part of such a beloved horror franchise, the pressure to “top” the original cult classic film and of course their favorite horror movies.

Terrifier 2 was released in 2022, and was the first sequel to 2016’s Terrifier. Funding was raised on Indiegogo, eventually reaching over 430% of the initial $50,000 goal. The Covid pandemic put production on pause, but the film would go on to debut at Frightfest on August 29, 2022 to widespread acclaim and positive reviews. A theatrical run in October of that year would prove to be a smashing success, going on to gross $15 million in the US. A third installment is presently in pre-production.
