Godzilla (and his large friends) are getting some humans to play with.
The new (as-yet-untitled) Godzilla and the Titans series headed to Apple TV+ has signed the first four actors to work with its recently announced director, according to a report on collider.com.
Emmy-nominated Matthew Shakman (WandaVision)–set to helm at least the first two episodes of the series–will work with Anna Sawai (Ninja Assassin), who will play Cate; Kiersey Clemons (Zack Snyder’s Justice League), who will play May; Joe Tippett (Mare of Easttown), who will portray Tim; and newcomer Ren Watabe, who plays Kentaro.
The series–created by Matt Fraction (Hawkeye) and Chris Black (Star Trek: Enterprise)–is set after the battle between Godzilla and the Titans “that leveled San Francisco” and confirmed that “monsters are real,” according to the synopsis.
The storyline explores “one family’s journey to uncover its buried secrets and a legacy linking them to the secret organization known as Monarch.” No release window on Apple TV+ has been announced.
