Annaleigh Ashford (American Crime Story, B Positive) has signed on to star with Sarah Paulson (American Horror Story, Ratched) on Searchlight Pictures’ horror thriller Dust, according to a report on Deadline.
Dust–directed by Will Joines and Karrie Crouse from a screenplay by Crouse–will stream as a Hulu Original on an unannounced date. Shooting is expected to start in a few weeks.
The film follows a woman trapped by “increasingly perilous dust storms who is haunted by her past encounters with a threatening presence,” according to the synopsis. “So, she must take extraordinary measures to protect her family.”
Paulson also serves as executive producer of the film, alongside producers Alix Madigan and Lucas Joaquin. DanTram Nguyen and Katie Goodson-Thomas from Searchlight are overseeing the project.
