A new way to look at Kong.

Skull Island–a new animated series set in Legendary’s ever-growing MonsterVerse–will debut on Netflix in a month, and a trailer dropped this week to give fans a peek at the mayhem to come. Check out the video on this page.

The series–from Legendary Television and Powerhouse Animation–is created and written by executive producer Brian Duffield (Cocaine Bear).

Skull Island–hitting Netflix June 22–follows a group of explorers as they rescue Annie (Mae Whitman) from the ocean–“unaware that their act of heroism will lead them to the dangerous Skull Island,” according to the synopsis. The island, of course, is home to “many terrifying monsters–including the mighty Titan, Kong.”

Joining Whitman in the voice cast are Nicolas Cantu as Charlie, Darren Barnett as Mike, Benjamin Bratt as Cap and Betty Gilpin as Irene.
