by Thomas Tuna

Ryan Murphy is apparently trying to set new heights for weirdness.

FX this week rolled out a teaser trailer for American Horror Story Season 10, as reported by comingsoon.net, and it previews what looks like be a very strange–and very scary–go-round for all horror fans. Check out the trailer on this page and see for yourself.

The new season–called American Horror Story: Double Feature–debuts on FX Aug. 25 and will be split into two segments, as Murphy hinted at not long ago. The first part is entitled Red Tide; the second is Death Valley.

Murphy and the show’s co-creator Brad Falchuk are keeping a pretty tight lid on the horror anthology’s storyline for the season, but they did say fans are in for “a collision of terror like you’ve never seen.”

This new season will feature a strong ensemble cast, including Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Kathy Bates, Leslie Grossman, Billie Lourd, Adina Porter, Lily Rabe, Angelica Ross, Finn Wittrock and Emma Roberts, along with newcomers Paris Jackson, Neal McDonough, Kaia Gerber and Macaulay Culkin.

American Horror Story–which has been renewed through Season 13–has proven to be a huge success for FX, having already received 95 Emmy nominations, with 16 wins. The series also has won two Golden Globe Awards.
