Who let the witches out?
Anne Rice’s Mayfair Witches–the AMC small-screen adaptation of the horror author’s acclaimed Lives of the Mayfair Witches trilogy–is expected to wrap production by the end of the month, and several photos of the series were unveiled to give fans a look at some of the characters. The photos afford a sneak peek at the characters portrayed by Alexandra Daddario, Jack Huston, Harry Hamlin and Tongayi Chirisa. The series–expected to debut on AMC early next year–also stars Annabeth Gish, Beth Grant and Jen Richards.
The series–written by Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford–follows Dr. Rowan Fielding (Daddario), a brilliant neurosurgeon “who discovers she is the unlikely heir to a family of witches,” according to the synopsis.
As Fielding struggles with her newfound powers, “she must contend with a sinister presence that has haunted her family for generations.”
